The "Post" phase

Am back..alive, kicking and panting!!

37 days post marriage and the post phase is still sinking in...

Marriage was a party contrary to all the stories I had heard..loads of relatives, friends, rituals and attention....and well yes I actually danced the most on my own sangeet and know all the latest Hindi Blockbusters by heart!....was partytime all the way!

Back to reality now--and nope reality hasnt really smashed or even hit me on the face....settling in has been well...er...quite an experience....

Right from figuring out how each nook and corner should look like, to 'managing" the servant from 7:30 am in the morning, to fixing breakfast and the menu for dinner daily, to keeping tab of the dhobi, paperman, house groceries.....EXHAUSTING!!!!!!

With one room in the house finally done up feels like a achievement worth nothing less than the olympic gold...after all the running around we had to do for the carpenters and furniture shops and curtains....blah blah blah....

And just when you thinks its finally done...u realise on how the most important things have been missed out..we'r stil surviving on illegal gas connection:-))

Highlightes of these 37days:-

1)Went grocery "shopping" with two senior ladies from the bldg who now treat me as a part of their gang and expect me to do the "shopping" with them every week!!
2)A cool cook who can cook!!!
3)A "shocking" eye-opener that curtains could actually cost you upto Rs11000!!!!
4) All stories about men as men are true--they fart in bed, cleaning room is about picking clothes from bed and throwing them in the cupboard, shaving needs a reason, they can survive without sex but not TV....and the list continues....
5) In all official forms I am now "Mrs"....!!

According to my dearest husband(who btw wants to still live under the belief that am his girfriend") sees marriage similar to change of job.....probably coz like work, you dont have to work hard on it anymore...just work smart!

And what I love most about being a married girlfriend--Well...coming back home to a lovely hug everyday....kinda gets u going!":-))))
