Childhood Fantasy

I was pestering hubby dear to read me a bed time story over the weekend(a ritual he has to keep up with atleast once in 15 days...I need my dose of bedtime stories)..and my mind just wandered to this trek in bangalore which I did sometime back where we were playing truth and dare in the group.

I got the truth and was asked to say any one fantasy of mine and I blurted out.."Well its about having a chocolate house someday"...*silence*.....all boys laughed and told me thats a escapist answer to the question coz they expected something more "meatier"!...All girls had their faces lit up...*why didnt I think of this one look*.... Whatever!!!

I realised later on that its the absolute truth for me...I have fantasied about having a chocolate house one day right from the moment I read the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale...and hence this has been one of my favouritest fairy tale ever!

I still have 4 jigsaw puzzles which dad brought for me from abroad when I was three and it used to be my favourite toys coz one of the puzzles in that was Hansel and Gretel with the witch and a Yummmyyy chocolate house!

It amazed me when I realised that I have had this fantasy ever since I first heard this story and started visualising the chocolate house with candy bars , chocolate bed, taps, walls, utensils chairs..even commodes...heheh!!..so everytime I wanted to eat chocolate I didnt even have to go to the fridge I cld take break one part of the bed and eat!

Well someday I hope I do get a choclate house(even if its a miniature version)...Hint!! Hint!!..is the concerned person listening???

So do you have any such childhood fantasy that u still hold on to??:-)

Hi,

As long as it doesnt melt around you , dear..ala the Indian prince's palace in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ;P

But seriously, it would be lovely...with milk, white and dark chocolate floors. What a sight to behold!

Ekta... nice fantasy ...
Well, to have that chocolate house intact and not melt, you will have to come and live in the himalayas... hehe... kidding,
Hansel and gretel was a lovely story... i have always hated step-mothers after this story... childhood impact....
Well, i had this funny fantasy to go and sit up in top of any hill.... so whenever i see a hill surrounding my place, i have this first idea to go on the top, sit there and come down... silly thought...
silly it may sound, but i always wanted to walk on water... something i watched in cartoons and those fairy tales... just walk, run, play on water.. never need of swimming!!!

Well, if you get that chocolate house, please lend me a chair.... (i hope it is made up of hazelnuts and dark bitter chocolate)... lol

:) When I was a kid, I always use to vow to myself that some day I shall have all the money to buy all the comics books I want.

When started my career, I seem to somehow forgot the same, then one fine day during my first visit to US, I discovered what all I am missing in life. There an' then I shipped a full pack weighing around 5 Kgs of comics to my collegue who once shared the same dream.

Later when I returned and we had a chat, he told me how happy he was to receive all those comics in office. He was simply elated.

Today, I had too many comics, or say too many books in my own modest library...

Reading those comics...while watching TV, having Sandwich and Chai on the bed ...is beyond any pleasure...
