To my Co-worker
I am angry, irritable, rude and mean right now...yeah am human!
I am waiting for the day when she needs my help badly and I can sit back, look at her irritating face and say "Sorry would have loved to help , but you see its not a part of my job!"...@#$%#%
Chinese co-worker, curt and rude, rigid, racist, inefficient and unprofessional.
This post is dedicated to this lady who works with me....and defines unprofessionalism...heres a few words for u lady!
1) There are people around better than u-They look better, they are in a higher grade, are a zillion times more intelligent(have u heard of that word before???) and tonnes more smarter than u and thats why they are where they are and u are where u are...LIVE WITH IT!
2) I have worked my ass off to be where I am and I deserve to be here. You too deserve to be where you are. If you have your insecurities in life, deal with them on your own. I am not your best buddy (and dont have intentions of being one), nor your lover/hubby nor ur mom(god bless her) to take any shit from you!
3) Unprofessionalism in work place is more obvious than Big boobs from low cut blouses....if you think people dont see you shying away from work think again!
4) Team work doesnt mean having 2 hr lunches with your colleagues-grow up!
5) Your behaving like a mobile Job description and narrating "Its not a part of my job" for everything that sounds like work is not gonna fool people into believing that you want free pay!! Being rude to people is also not part of your Job..or is it!!!!!???
6) To get anywhere in life you need to work with people..not against them sweetheart!

Ive had the ubnfortunate experience of working with people from Singapore and HK, and, at the cost of sounding racist, they are not the easiest people to work with. They are soo bloody rigid they are like robots. Freaky.

Though i havent been working since a long time, but 8 months have taught me much... haha!!!
You find such people who just shrugg you off saying "its not my job"... and even i do that, sit back and wait till the person (who shrugged me away once) come to me for help and i can just look straight in the eye and give that "***k off" looks!!!

i think among all the asians that i work with hk and the taiwanese are the worst :P but the hardest to deal is the mainland chinese in terms of getting the work done! anyways, i know that hk are very racist. only advantage is i can speak their dialect. they have very poor knowledge about other countries :P

ekta - its not you or HK honey...these women are everywhere....infact their tribe is increasing! i remember doing a post about them a long time ago. What beats me though is despite all the nothingness they are upto all the time - they are still the ones who get away with it. they'd probably be the ones who are 1st in line when people are being considered for promotions / pay hikes. I have still not figured out how to deal with these pests - though the search for the solution is on. Been there and seen the same type before. in every workplace u come across some one like this who thinks that their ----does not smell, they feel that they are better than everyone else and that they are entittled to 2hr lunches and can get by without doing any work. i am with you. I hate these kind of people.I had a co worker who even took credit for the work I had done.

Hey..A very smart way to vent the frustration!! I have had probs with Chinese workers when we didnt have face to face contact but had meetings everyday, conf calls.....They screwed my hapiness for long n then I put my foot them n then they stopped bugging me and acting without any etiquette....Hope she gets it or gets to a place where people like her team up!!

Hun , im in a country where, one gets promoted if she has a chinese name.One gets a good loan and university if you have a Malay name , and literally NOTHING if you're born as an Indian. Sorry to hear about you having a co-worker like that. Maybe the next round of "reductions" will help trim the fat so to say.
I have been lucky in this regard and may be some of this is cos of our management being really good about how they handle folks.
Also we havea fairly diverse workplace incl ppl from Taiwan and China and they are pretty good at what they do. Vent away it's your palce after all, but not sure if one can generalize right?
Had one colleague like that. Thank God,it is in the past.
I have always had issues with chinese interviewers coz i fail to understand half what they talk but most of my colleagues who hail from china have been pretty sweet and extremely hardworking people.
someone is surely very angry......but i m sure of all the people u wud be most capable of dealing with her......after u r HR manager :D

I have been in similar situations with asians. I think majority of them are quite rude, at work, at driving, at the movies and in general.
What I found out is that if I took a stand and assert myself, they generally backed out. They are not very confrantational, just sleazy.
