Aha Moments!!
Aha Moments!
These exist. In all our lives. At various Phases. Sometimes we realise them, sometime we dont.
And just in case that start gave u the impression that am going to go on a philosophy trip...relax!..am not!Am referring more to the lighter but essential enlightenments of life which dawn on you once in a while out of the blue.
Past couple of years these have been happening quite a lot for some strange reasons !
Now Aha moments for me are not purely enlightenment moments, but are enlightenment moments which have come in slightly late in life than they do for most people. If for e.g. I had been exposed to these truths slightly earlier (or quite earlier as most people are) my reaction would have been a plain "Cool"...but coz I have been a "slow species" my reaction for most of these has ranges from "Ooh", " Aah", "Ur kidding me"...which is why these fall under my category of Aha moments.
Now why these simple learnings which form a part of natural growing up have become Aha moments for me is a different story altogether...but as a friend of mine terms it...I seemed to have had a "deprived childhood"...(Blame it on my parents!)
A couple which I remember off the hat distinctly go like this:-
1)A pig has an Orgasm that lasts as long as 30 min!!...and well thats too too too high compared to humans!(oops--I realised this only after marriage really!)
2)Animal porn is not about 2 animals, but about animal and man!(YUUUKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!)
3)Any man who says sex was bad ...is lying!
4) A zebra is white with black stripes???? (How can u tell?)
5) An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brains....(I thought that was the case with humans!:-)
6) A healthy individual releases 3.5 oz. of gas in a single flatulent emission, or about 17 oz. in a
day....(so thats how u know if ur healthy...uh!???)
7)(This one came in much earlier but remember it nevertheless)...Kids are not born through the naval!(What the hell was my Bio teacher teaching me anywayz??!!)
Ok this is not a porn blog!...but just that I have the right to feel excited about my Aha moments and share the same!!
And well like I said before these moments come to all (and I refuse to accept otherwise!)....its all a part of, as they say, "growing up"...so am growing up...FINALLY!:-)

Interesting post.
This may sound daft, but an aha moment for me was realising that we are capable of falling in love again no matter how in love we were with someone else before (especially if they broke our hearts).

Can't really remember any aha moments right now. But yeah, I do get a aha! sort of a feeling when I read quotes that say something which is so obvious in a way we never see them.
For example,
'Life is a sexually transmitted disease.'
or 'When you breathe in you inspire when you don't, you expire.'

well, there were a few ones out thr in ur post wch still qualified as my first "aha moments" whn i read thm :p (esp referrin to 1, 2 and 6)
one such moment i clearly remember was during my early teen yrs whn my oldest cousin (4 yrs elder) wanted to enlighten me bout "the birds n the bees" talk.(whteva lil she knew i guess):-/ and she actually put it that way(trying to flaunt her english)...AND the innocent me strictly declined the offer as not wanting to hear boring fables :-/
it was only months later tht i realised wht the "birds n the bees" talk meant!i cursed myself for being soo stupid and missin out on a bery interesting topic! lol!!
my aha moment : spotting that 'x' at the top right corner... [:P]
kidding kidding... 30 min orgasm a? no wonder pigs are so stress free... [:P]
I share 3 of your AHAs. But here's another one from me: Kids are not born automatically after one year of marriage but due to 'another' process.

Aha moments exist. Sometimes few times a day, sometimes once upon a time. My Aha moment was yesterday - my hubby all day was vege, did exercises, goes (with me) for a long walk.

A pig has an Orgasm that lasts as long as 30 min!!..." what an exact calculation! i wonder whats the corresponding number for an elephant or the now-extinct dinosaurs - i guess they were soo slow that if they had an orgasm on monday they would come to know of it on tuesday. Aha!
ps: 'experts' say that while a human male's orgasm is more blink-n-miss so to speak, a human female's orgasm (if she has any) lasts for 7 minutes. Aha!

-Viral fever is associated with virus. I thought it is a fever for stomach. Stomach is vayar in malayalam
-Oral sex is not talking about sex.
-Babies are not born through anal opening(I never thought it is naval)
i agree with the human brain being smaller than the human eye bit. :-)
Some times I feel lucky that I haven't had a chance 2 grow up, nor the need! Lolz...

In my 10th std...during my bio lessons...this gal was dicating notes to us about how breast milk is important for a childs growth during initial days.
I paused her and asked...what are breasts and why you feeding breast milk to that kid??
I grew up that day :)
and yes...it was mother of all AH HAA moments too :D
