I Hate my job!
Never thought I would be saying this on the 4th day of my job...but what do you expect when on the first day of the job your given tonnes of work (which you had no clue how to do) and your first deadline is after a week?????????
Which company does that??????????...Apparantly mine does!
Well as they say..Your job is only as good and bad as the people around you...Could never have proved more true. My Current boss is a "B****" of the first order and I will not feel guilty even if I have to murder her.
Ok so this is a major crib post--looks like I am the latest scapegoat in the office who gets dumped work that the "B****" doesnt "like" to do (mind you this has nothing to do with if she has the time to do it or not)....
Am very very tempted to walk out of the job and say..."find someone else to screw"!...but am picking up excuses like..."something is better than nothing"...or "atleast am getting paid"...ahem....maybe coz I dont want to be an escapist.....
Hoping to get through each day one at a time....wishing theres something better in store....praying its all worth it!...sigh!

Oh no .. that's so sad. Keep looking.. am sure something good will come by ..and then you can say whatever you like to these people and waltz off. The moment of bliss!
Ohhh. YOu poor child. I have been plagued with bad women bosses right from my first job. Thankfully the scene is a little different now, my current boss is quite ok. Thats one of the worst things to deal with at work. Keep looking out, hopefully something better will work out soon.
I'm wondering now.. which is difficult.. this or a company that puts me together in the same hotel room as THE JERK. :'(
Hmmm.. That's pathetic..But work is also fun..
hang in there and you ll be amazed wen u look back at things in life and realize how much of shit you can take and still survive.
When you are dumped with work that no one wants to do - you pick / learn a skill set they obviously failed to master! Which btw becomes an opportunity. Speaking from experience! :) Unless of course they are asking you to photocopy stuff, in which case all bets are off unless you want to start the next big copier company! :P Best of luck and smile!
My first day was something like that. My friend indradeep on the other hand was very lucky. On his first day, we had a power outrage. we went out to watch a movie, courtesy our company :D
Hie...
This is something I understand too well... but I guess, you must get on with it until teh time you find the better option to keep your self occupied...
I remember something about work satisfication.. either you have work or satisfaction but seldom both :-((.

Wow - I know this feeling well. Two jobs ago, I got yelled at at my third day on the job. I think it was the first time anyone had yelled at me since high school. I was broke, the economy was poor and I needed the income -- badly.
Today, I would have walked right the hell out.
I hope you find a solution soon.
yeh hai meri kahani
Kind of understand ur situation..different place and u wanan mk use of the situation and handle it the best way!!keep going!!
That's bad. Start looking for another job ... it's no good working with a b**** if that's not doing any GREAT wonders to your career.
I have faced such terrible times, but luckily it didn't last that long!
And remember not to give in to your boss always ...fight and kick the hell out of her :-) he he

Goodluck with ur deadlines!
Thaz how the corp' works and they do not give training and you have to pickup right away. If its training its their expenditure and not many jobs need training.
that sure suxxx...anyways stay positive girl...it'll all calm down soon...fingers crossed for ya!
Keshi.
Does a woman make a Bad boss? ... hmmm ..need to think now. I have exp. before i retired.
Ekta, it is very essential that you are happy doing your job ( stressful or unstressful) and first and foremost you should feel happy/comfortable about your work place, otherwise it's a drag every morning.
Enjoy one's WORK should be the motto, (high or low or no pay)
bye
it might just be a shaky start for a smooth journey ahead! Good luck to you :)

hey buddy ..don't give up..u can do it!!
i am sure it'll get better once u get to know this place and the people and u discover the nice people..ur description of ur boss reminds me of "devil wears prada" have u read it??
that sucks. but hold on and hang in there- it is too early for u to judge your boss
have a heart to heart with her or with the HR person
Ohhhh man :(
I went thru the similar phase in ma second company n within a week I realised that I did a major blunder by leaving ma first company...
afta that it was just a frantic search to leave the current company..somehow....though it took me 5months and lotsa mental torture...that was sick..
Hope you are not blogging this from office :)
Take care...
Ekta u are a brave girl. Take this as a challenge & prove that there is no "impossible" word in your dictionary.
Mind this baby, when there is a challenge or a tough fight in life, u are filled with power to face it.
All the Best.
Hey girl! Cheer up! All the best! So how is Anand? cant see him around these days!
And One more thing to add! The best in you comes out when you are working in pressure and stress! Dont you agree...:)
hey dont let ur self down yaar...you see its part of life...they pay you so they will take most out of you..this is the culture of todays corporate world..the more pay the more your wisked.....
AFTER EVERY NIGHT THERE IS DAY....LOOK THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF TUNNEL FOR YOU
Take Care

lol..sorry dont want to laugh, but that sincerely was a good post. And, i do have an idea of how u feel...try and take it easy.Blast ppl who are junior to u, if there are any. Will help u vent it out.
I hope it gets better, Ekta! If it does get worse though, you may want to switch jobs sooner rather than later! :)
:( i can only wish for better in weeks to come.
=ammu=
hey gal, i understand yr plight...some idiots are just on the lookout to bully others.. i guess these people ( eg: like yr boss) needs some serious re education on how to treat people fairly.... don t be depressed ok? take care gal:)
ha ha u and me are on the same boat .. i have not yet started cribbing :) but then this is how the world is today .... this is just a temp. phase .. i am sure we will get out of it and as they say ..
"Winners never quit and Quiters never Win!"
Thanx for drooping by on my blog.
OOps! Sorry to hear this and hope you'll just hang on for a bit longer.
Wishing you well.
what a bad start!!
never mind, another job will find you soon enough.. otherwise, you can just quit, cant u..is that an option at all?
awww....take heart babe! And when i land in HK next time, we can go drinking in Lang Kwai Fong and bitching about our respective bosses!
o that's tooo bad, really if you are screwed by a sloth boss who treats you like a recycle bin. if this job is not so imp to you, you have an option to quit and ya beforwe quitting just throw up whatever you feel like saying on the face
Bad bosses are just not worth it in the end. So give it a shot for a few months but if it is making your life hell, get out.
hey stay tight. dont let the bitch chase u away but c if u can find a soft spot in her i am sure she is doing this to just size u up. may be u can find out from others how she is
ohh ..thats saad..i hope it gets better with days!
Long time dear...and when I read this post...I checked the date again as I remember I came to your blog long time at the beginning and that time I read something like this... :)

baadme aadat ho jayegi
n in case u murder her then pls come here n kill one more boss.. :D
o boy, looks like most of us 'hate' ur jobs! It's comforting and at the same time unsettling - if all hate our own jobs, then it means the matching of joba nd personality checks are so screwed up?!
I hate mine too btw. Any day now, am tempted to say - ok, am done, bye-bye.
hmmm...u dont seem to like ur new job or boss very much do u ??;p
dont worry dear, whn things cant get ne worse, thrs only scope for better...:)
best of luck to u!
Just 4 days and you hate your boss .. May be she is a real B I T C H .. But it would be only fair to give her / the job more time..
I always tell my self that its our family that we must like and love.. Not our colleagues !!
We must respect and work well with our colleagues..
Maybe take it up as a challenge to break the ice and make the relationship work..
If she remains “unfair” ..trust me she will not last long.. Such people do not..
But then you are the HR expert.. who am I to tell you !!
